BUFT Cineframe Fest 2026 Inaugurated
The BUFT Cineframe Fest 2026, presented by Giant Group and Education Hub and organized by the BUFT Photography Club, was inaugurated on 7 July 2026 at BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT). Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the BUFT Board of Trustees, attended the inauguration as the chief guest. The event was also graced by Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Vice Chancellor (Designate); Prof. Dr. Alamgir Hossain, Pro Vice Chancellor (Acting); Mr. Mohammad Imtiaj, Director of the Department of Public Relations; and Mr. Mohammad Nurullah, General Secretary of the Bangladesh Federation of Film Societies, as special guests. The Registrar, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Director of Student Welfare (DSW), faculty members, and students were also present.
The three-day festival features screenings of several acclaimed films, including Bonolota Express, Utsab, and The University of Chankharpul. A total of 28 student-produced short films are competing in the festival, with the best entries to be selected by a jury. The festival will conclude with an awards and closing ceremony on 9 July 2026.
