Proctor

Mr. Mohammed Masum Billah, Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration (BUFT) has been appointed as proctor of the University. In addition to his proctorial responsibility, he is also the Additional Director of IQAC of BUFT. He joined BUFT in 2015 as Assistant Professor. Before that, he had served Dutch Bangla Bank limited as a Foreign Trade officer for two years. Then he served Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) for six years in the positions of lecturer, Senior lecturer and Assistant professor, and European University of Bangladesh (EUB) for three years as Assistant Professor. In his teaching career, he performed the role of the BBA and the MBA program coordinator, the proctor and the assistant proctor, and also the convener and the member of different curricular and extracurricular activities of different clubs and committees namely environment club, sports club, cultural club, recruitment committee, question moderation committee, internship placement committee and course curriculum committee.

Mr. Billah graduated from Chittagong University, positioning himself among the top five scorers in the BBA (Management) and the MBA (Management) programs. He also persuaded higher study at University of Manitoba, Canada. He did his second MBA (Supply Chain Management and Leadership) at Asper School of Business of University of Manitoba. Now, he is a PhD candidate at UKM-GSB. He has been awarded International Student Merit Scholarships and Entrance Scholarship at University of Manitoba and also got the merit scholarship at University of Chittagong. He was also selected the best employee in the Dutch Bangla Bank Limited, Motijheel Foreign Exchange Branch in the year 2007 and also received the best teacher award at Northern University of Bangladesh for three consecutive years 2009-2011.

In his academic career, he was also involved in different research activities. He worked as a Management Analyst in a research project of CMDR, NUB. At present, he is working as an additional director of a research project of CSRS of BUFT. His research output has been published in different national and international journals. He is the co-author of two books entitled (i) Conflict Management and Negotiation and (ii) Office Management. His research interests include Human Resource Management, Women Empowerment, Sustainability, use of IoT, AI and BDA in Supply Chain Management.
