Career Development Center (CDC)

In compliance with the standards set by the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC), particularly Standards 6.6 (Career Guidance and Placement), 6.8 (University-Industry Collaboration), and 10.4 (Employability and Alumni Engagement), the Bangladesh University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) has established the Career Development Center (CDC). This dedicated center serves as a strategic initiative to enhance the career readiness, employability, and industry connectivity of BUFT graduates.

The CDC is responsible for organizing structured career counseling and guidance sessions tailored for graduating students, ensuring they get the support they need to prepare for the job market. Additionally, the CDC plays a key role in facilitating regular placement activities, connecting students with employment and internship opportunities across various industries.

Furthermore, the CDC is responsible for fostering and maintaining robust University-Industry Collaboration (UIC). Through partnerships with leading organizations, the center ensures mutual benefits in areas such as internships, collaborative projects, industrial training, and job placements, thereby bridging the gap between academia and industry.

Previously, the functions now managed by the CDC were performed by the Center for Coordination, Consulting, and Testing (CCCT), under guidance from advisory committees. The establishment of the CDC demonstrates BUFT’s ongoing dedication to institutional excellence, graduate employability, and stakeholder engagement in accordance with national quality assurance frameworks.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Career Development Center (CDC) at BUFT is to empower students and alumni to explore, define, and achieve their career goals through personalized guidance, resources, and continuous support.
