Yes, the University is both UGC and Bangladesh Ministry of Education approved.

Yes, BUFT has a ten-storied permanent campus with the state-of-art facilities built on 1.66 acres of land, acquired from University’s own funding, approved by RAJUK on 11 November 2012. The 10-storied new state-of-the-art academic building has a total 400,000 square feet space. The academic activities of the university at permanent campus have started on March 02 of 2018. The building consists of a state of art library, auditorium, and modern class rooms. Along with all there is a swimming pool, gymnasium for the faculties and students, tennis courts, cafeteria and many more. There is also a 10-room guest house on the roof top of the building to accommodate foreign visiting dignitaries and faculties of our visiting affiliated University faculties.


An international standard University requires huge financial and materials resources. Given the limited resources we have as a new University, Board of Trustees (BoT) is trying its best to maximize procurement in respect of land, equipment and materials. Land is extremely expensive and hard to get by but due our endeavor we have bought more land for the University for its Future Expansion. Total University land is now is 5 acres.

BUFT has a plan to provide the students the accommodation facility soon.

Currently the University does not require any English Language qualification for the local students. However, for the international students IELTS is the most widely accepted qualification. Please contact the school/department that you are interested in applying to for details.

Currently, BUFT is not offering any B.Sc. or Honours program in the evening, but we have other programs in the evening shift.

Yes, the University has both pick and drop transportation facility for the students living in Dhaka city.

A student may transfer a maximum of 30 credits earned at previously attended colleges and universities toward BUFT degrees. Transcripts from all previously attended institutions must be submitted. Only credits on which students has earned the grade B or above will be transferred to BUFT. For purposes of transferring credits, the Head of the Department will determine equivalence of the courses and may refer to others if needed.
