Aesthetic Separate Prayer Spaces for Men and Women Inaugurated
Newly renovated and aesthetically designed separate prayer spaces for male and female students, faculty members, and staff at BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) were officially inaugurated at a solemn ceremony held on the university campus on 10 May 2026. The inauguration was conducted by Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BUFT. Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the significance of providing a peaceful, comfortable, and spiritually uplifting environment for the university community.
The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Vice Chancellor (Designate) of the university, along with Acting Pro Vice Chancellor & Treasurer, Registrar, deans of different faculties, heads of departments, university officials, faculty members, and students. The renovated prayer facilities have been enhanced with modern aesthetic features to ensure greater comfort, cleanliness, and accessibility for worshippers. Separate washroom and ablution facilities have also been arranged for male and female users to ensure convenience and proper religious practice.
This initiative reflects BUFT’s continued commitment to fostering an inclusive campus environment that promotes both academic excellence and spiritual well-being. On the occasion, special prayers were also arranged for the speedy recovery and good health of Mohammed Nasir, Member of the Board of Trustees of BUFT. The ceremony concluded with prayers and appreciation from attendees for the university’s continuous efforts to improve campus facilities and overall student and staff well-being.
