BGMEA University and Technology (BUFT) organized the first International Conference on Textile, Apparel and Fashion (ICTAF-2022) online on 27 February, 2022. This event aimed to provide a unique opportunity for the professionals, scientists, engineers, educators, researchers and students from all over the world to exchange their scientific ideas, views and thoughts with fellow researchers and participants. Eminent scholar and textile expert, Professor Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor, BUFT, delivered an online lecture to an international class of MBA students at Nyenrode Business Universiteit, Netherlands, an academic partner of BUFT. Following the lecture, a lively discussion session took place where the CEO of Shasha Denim Limited, Mr. Jamal, Ms. Setara Begum, Asst. Professor, BUFT and Abdur Rakib, Asst. Professor, BUFT were present as panel discussants. The session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Tineke Lambooy, Professor of Corporate Law at Nyenrode Business Universiteit and Ms. Martine Bosman, LL.M, visiting fellow at Nyenrode Business Universiteit.
BUFT Pro-VC presented keynote paper in Ministry of Textiles and Jute (MOTJ) workshop on ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution’
Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Pro-VC, BUFT, presented a keynote paper on ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution: Possibilities, Problems and Things to Do in the Textile Sector’, a day long workshop organized by the Directorate of Textiles under the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, Government of Bangladesh on 22 February 2022. Mr. Md. Abdur Rauf, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles and Jute, was the chief guest in the workshop. Mr. Md. Abul Kalam, NDC, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles and Jute was present as Special Guest on the occasion. The session ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Md. Nuruzzaman, Director General, Department of Textiles. Ministry Directorate officials, textile engineers and college/institutes’ principals attended this important workshop.
