Exhibition on Sustainable applications of textile waste materials in various technical purposes held
212 batch of the Textile Engineering Department exhibited the products they made from RMG
and textile waste at the BUFT multipurpose hall on 21 July 2022. They also gave poster
presentations on their products. Vice Chancellor Prof. S. M. Mahfuzur Rahman, Pro Vice
Chancellor Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Jalil, Deans, Heads
of various academic and administrative departments, Officers, Staff and Students of various
departments visited the exhibition.
MoU signed between RUAS and BUFT
A virtual MoU signing ceremony was held for education collaboration between Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences and BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) on 10 April 2022. Mr. Muzaffar U. Siddique, Founder Chairman, Board of Trustees, BUFT was present as the chief guest at the event. Prof. Dr. S. M. Mahfuzur Rahman, Vice Chancellor, BUFT; Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor, BUFT as well as faculty members and officials from both institutions were present in the programme. Registrar, BUFT and Registrar, Ramaiah University signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions. This MoU covers research, student exchange and faculty training opportunities between the two institutions. The MoU shows the positive commitment of BUFT for the development of Textile, Fashion & Apparel education in Bangladesh.
Textile Talent Hunt Competition judged by BUFT Pro VC
Textile Talent Hunt (TTH) is a competition where participants showcase their innovative projects in the field of textiles. The Textile Today, a magazine dedicated to the textile and fashion industry, organized the seventh version of the grand finale held at AG Conference Hall in Dhaka on March 30. BUFT Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan was the chairman of the panel of judges at the grand finale. The top five winners were selected from 1214 contestants across the country.
