BUFT signs two MoUs to expand global partnerships and foster ethical leadership
BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on 4 August 2026, strengthening its commitment to international academic collaboration and values-based education. At 2:00 pm, BUFT signed an online MoU with the Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology (EiTEX), Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia, to promote collaboration in education, research, faculty and student exchange, and other academic initiatives. The agreement was signed by Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BUFT, and Prof. Tamrat Tesfaye, Scientific Director of EiTEX. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Vice Chancellor (Designate) of BUFT, alongside senior officials from both institutions.
At 2:30 pm, BUFT signed another MoU with VAALO avant-garde Ltd. to implement the "Value Corner: Practicing Integrity in Everyday Life" initiative on the university campus and strengthen collaboration in training, research, student engagement, career development, internships, knowledge exchange, and institutional capacity building. The MoU was signed on behalf of BUFT by Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and on behalf of VAALO avant-garde Ltd. by Dr. Nazneen Akhter, Founder and Managing Director. The two agreements reflect BUFT's continued efforts to build international academic partnerships while promoting innovation, ethical values, and industry-academia collaboration for the benefit of students, faculty members, and the wider community.
