MHD Effect on Free Convection Heat Transfer in a C-shaped Cavity

Abstract
MHD effect on free convection heat transfer in a C-shaped cavity has been numerically simulated in this paper. The working fluid is assigned as air with a Prandtl number of 0.71 throughout the simulation. The magnetic field of strength Bo is applied arallel to x-axis. The top, left and bottom walls of the enclosure are maintained at constant heated temperatureTh. The right internal walls of the cavity with length H are maintained at cold temperature Tc. The external right walls are adiabatic. The governing differential equations (mass, momentum and energy equation) are solved by finite element method (Galerkin weighted residual method). The present results are validated by favorable comparisons with previously published results. The results of the problem are presented in graphical and tabular forms and discussed. The relevant parameters in the present study are Rayleigh numbers, Hartmann numbers and Prandtl number. Results are presented in the form of streamlines, isotherms, Local Nusselt number, velocity, temperature and average temperature for different parameters. The numerical results indicate the strong influence of the mentioned parameters on the flow structure and heat transfer as well as temperature. An optimum combination of the governing parameters would result in higher heat transfer. Moreover, it is observed that both the Rayleigh numbers and the Hartmann numbers significantly impact on the flow and thermal fields in enclosure.

Abstract
In this study, effect of normal and enzyme wash on the physical properties of indigo dyed 2/1 plain rib cotton fabric was examined. ISO and ASTM standard were followed separately for testing tensile strength, tearing strength, pilling resistance, color fastness to light, color fastness to rubbing, color strength and fabric weight. The fabric samples were subjected to neutral and acid enzyme wash, then the test results were compared with the normal washed samples. Enzyme wash reduced the tensile strength (13% in warp and 16.04% in weft), tearing strength (35.4% in warp and 29.6% in weft), GSM (1.8%), color strength (0.91% lighter) and improved color fastness to rubbing (rating for dry rub 5 and wet rub 1-2) of the sample. On the other hand, normal wash showed lower pilling resistance (grade2). The results are comparable with the results found from similar wash effect on cotton twill fabric.

Abstract
At present Bangladesh is depending on ready-made garments that were started in the 1970s with few workers but now there are working almost 4.5 million workers, the majority of them are female and they are from rural areas of Bangladesh. Customer satisfaction mainly depends on the commitment of the company. The present study overlooks the customers' satisfaction with the service quality of Intertek. This study attempted to understand the customers' perceptions of different service quality dimensions while dealing with this company. The main objective of the study was to know about the customers' perception and satisfaction, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, tangibility of service quality of Intertek. The total sample size was 200 customers. The study was based on quantitative analysis through the survey method. The data were collected through a questionnaire in which a customer's responded to a series of questions based on five key dimensions- Tangibility, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy. The study concluded with some recommendations to improve the satisfaction of the customers
Dyeing of Silk Fabric with a Natural Dye Extracted from the Leaves of Mimusops Elengi Linn

Abstract
A natural dye was extracted from the leaves of mimusops elengi Linn which was applied to the silk fabric in order to examine its suitability as a dye. Leaves were used as the dye source since they are readily available and reproducible than other parts of the plant without making any damage of the plant. The dye staff in leaves of mimusops elengi is easily extractable by aqueous extraction process and the amount of crude dye achieved was exceptionally good. Dyeing of silk fabric was performed by the dye extract solely as well as mixing with mordant by using pre, simultaneous and post mordanting techniques. The color strength and fastness properties of dyed silk fabric were evaluatedby standard methods. A variety of shades and excellent color fastness of dyed silk fabric were observed for this natural dye with different mordant which could be an attractive environmentally friendly cheap alternative for silk dyeing
