About

Pritu Roy is a lecturer in the department of Industrial Engineering at BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT), Dhaka, Bangladesh. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in June 2024 and is currently pursuing her Master’s in the same field at BUET. Born and raised in Dhaka, she finished her secondary and higher secondary education at Rajuk Uttara Model College. 

Pritu is passionate about teaching and research. Her interests include supply chain management, quality management, operations research, and operations management. She has prior research experience in foreign exchange rate prediction using machine learning techniques and time series demand forecasting for the pharmaceutical industry using different machine learning models and artificial neural networks. She enjoys solving real-world industrial problems through innovative methods. 
Alongside her academic work, Pritu has been involved in leadership and extracurricular activities. Pritu aims to pursue higher degrees from top global universities, focusing on advanced research in industrial engineering. Her long-term goal is to contribute to academia and use her expertise to address industrial challenges through innovative solutions.
