About
Ahnaf Tahmid is currently working as a Lecturer in the Industrial Engineering Department at BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT). He completed his M.Sc. in Industrial and Production Engineering from BUET. During his M.Sc., he pursued courses in data science, data analysis, engineering data analytics, decision analysis, operations scheduling and sequencing, materials management etc. including a thesis titled "Comprehensive Analysis of Accident Severity Determinants Using Machine Learning". Prior to that, He completed his B.Sc. in Industrial and Production Engineering from KUET, securing the 4th position in his class.
Ahnaf has served as advisor in BUFT Industrial Engineering Club and organized many events for the club. As a lecturer at BUFT, he has taught several courses including Machine Tools and Machining, Optimization and Heuristic Methods, Supply Chain Management, Production Planning & Control, Engineering Drawing, Entrepreneurship Development and Micro-Industries etc.
Ahnaf has been actively involved in various researches and has taken several courses to enhance his knowledge and skills in these areas. He has a keen interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning, data science, operations research and decision analysis and supply chain management. He is committed to advancing these fields through his research.
In his leisure time, Ahnaf enjoys traveling and exploring new places as well as playing table tennis and badminton. He believes that having hobbies and interests outside of work and academics is important for maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
