Dr. Mohammad Ali Azgor Talukder

About
Dr. Mohammad Ali Azgor Talukder has been working at BGMEA
University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) since January 2016. At the
university level, he has teaching experience of more than 22 years. Besides
teaching, he played significant roles in the academic administration of the
Department of English, BUFT, as the Head of the Department of English since its
inception in 2016 till August 2024. Currently, he is the Proctor of the
university.
He holds a PhD in TESL from University of Malaya,
Malaysia. He has got BA (Hons) in English and MA in English degrees. In
addition to the regular MA in English (literature), he has a second MA in
English with major in TESOL (Teaching of English to the Speakers of Other
Languages).
He worked as the Executive Editor of Bangladesh Journal of Integrated Thoughts and the Associate Editor
of BUFT Journal. Currently, he is a member
of the Editorial Board of Bangladesh
Journal of Integrated Thoughts. In addition, he has been working as the Executive
Editor of BUFT News since 2016. He is
a reviewer of renowned journals like Cambridge Journal of Education and Asia Pacific Journal of Futures in Education
and Society.
As for publications, he has more than 25 publications in journals
like Cambridge Journal of Education, Pedagogies:
An International Journal, Journal of Critical Applied Linguistics Studies, and
Asia-Pacific Journal of Futures in Education and Society. He has also published
a book of English translation of the works of Al Mahmud, a major Bengali poet.
Besides, he has presented papers in international conferences and given invited
talks at universities like Taylor’s University, Malaysia.
His research interests include critical
pedagogy, TESOL, language-in-education policy, curriculum design, translation,
and literature.
