BUFT Holds Two-Day Research Training Workshop
The Department of Business Administration of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) organized a two-day hands-on training workshop on “Systematic Literature Review and Bibliometric Analysis: From Literature Search to Research Publication” on August 30–31 at the university. The 12-hour workshop aimed to strengthen faculty members’ practical skills in systematic literature review, bibliometric analysis and publication-oriented research writing. About 70 percent of the program was devoted to hands-on activities, with the remaining 30 percent covering conceptual discussions. A total of 36 faculty members from different departments of BUFT took part in the training, reflecting growing interest in strengthening research and publication capacity at the university.
The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Md. Alamgir Hossain, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Acting) and Treasurer, BUFT, and Distinguished Professor Md. Muinuddin Khan, Dean, Faculty of Business Studies, BUFT. They stressed the need to enhance research capacity, adopt systematic and internationally recognized methodologies, and improve the quality and visibility of faculty publications. The sessions were conducted by Mr. Md. Monowar Uddin Talukdar, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Business Administration, University of Brahmanbaria, and Chief Trainer of Bangladesh Research School. Mr. ATM Adnan, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, BUFT, coordinated the workshop. On the concluding day, Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Vice Chancellor, BUFT, distributed certificates of participation among the trainees. He appreciated the initiative and encouraged faculty members to further develop their research skills and pursue high-quality, impactful research and publications.
