CEO of ACE Autos, the authorised distributor of King Long buses

Muzaffar U Siddique, founder chairman of the board of trustees at the BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology, & Azharul Islam, CEO of ACE Autos, the authorised distributor of King Long buses, attend a programme at the university in Dhaka recently where ACE handed over two buses to the university, which is the first such delivery of ACE in Bangladesh.

International Graduates Fashion Spectacle IGFS 2018 Design Competition.
BUFT student from the Dept. of Fashion Design & Technology (FDT), Farzana Akther Shumi, from batch 132, ID: 132-39-225 who participated in the “International Graduate Fashion Spectacle (IGFS) 2018”, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka has achieved the 'Award of Excellence for outstanding collection' for her designs. Her collection was about “Nakshi Kantha-a folk art of Bengal”. Some old “Kantha” of the 19th century has portrait Design, which have that stitching proficiency which are excellently innovative. The craftsmanship created spontaneously light color weaves a colorful and divers coloring design. The collection is inspired by the very same folk art through its motifs of “Nakshi Kantha” into Shibori dye by hand stitching. This folk art represents the “Tradition of Contexture” in women’s wear collection of her. Two other students Azizur Rahman Raihan, from batch 141, Id: 141-45-225 and Shaheda Akter from batch 141, Id: 141-028-0-225from the same department has also participated in the program. Azizur Raihan, made collection on a theme “Ancient Diva (Mysterious queen)” was also nominated for another category. Shaheda Akter made her collection based on “City Rush” which has focused the life style of “Night Dhaka city”. These Portfolio Graduates collections were supervised by Morshed Mohiuddin, Asst. Professor .
International Graduate Fashion Spectacle (IGFS) 2018 organized by Mod’Art International and Lanka Institute of Fashion Technology (LIFT) was held in Sri Lanka connecting international fashion graduates from seven countries to showcase their best collections in a ramp show.
The event has been held as an initiative for the young designers to launch their graduation collections internationally on one platform. It is done through a Sri Lankan and French partnership and there were fashion Graduate students representing France, Hungary, Germany, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and India. Total 21 fashion designers presented their collection.
For the selected designers the six-day program consisted of touring the city, participating in a fashion apparel talk show and a forum based on the future of fashion, exploring the country’s culture, factory visits in Biyagama, Nayon Apperals and also meeting& workshop with French artist and a live view painting of wall art Presentation, experience of Sri Lankan food and showcasing at the gala fashion show IGFS 2018.
