Prof. Md. Muinuddin Khan, eminent Professor & leading educationist of Accounting in Bangladesh, has joined BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) as a Dean & Distinguished Professor, Faculty of Business Studies on Monday (10th June 2019)

Prof M. M. Khan was the Dean of Faculty of Commerce, University of Dhaka (DU) & Professor and Chairman of Department of Accounting and Information System, DU. As the Chairman and Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, Prof Khan had left an indelible mark with his thoroughness and professionalism. He was the Director and Chairman of the Bureau of Business Research, University of Dhaka. He was appointed as Distinguished Professor at Green Business School of Green University of Bangladesh. He is the author of many text books on Accounting for Graduate and Post Graduate students.

Teaching/Research Specialization
  • In his post-DU career, M.M Khan has confirmed with the same zeal and efficiency in the private education sector. He was also an Advisor to the Caretaker Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh in 2006, in charge of ministries of Industries, Science & Information Technology and Jute & Textile. He used to supervise and examine Ph.D & M.Phil theses of reputed universities. He served as a Local Consultant to National Management Development Project jointly sponsored by ILO/UNDP/BMDC from 1978-1981 and also in a project of UNIDO/BJMC for Cost Reduction and Management in the Jute Mills of Bangladesh. Prof. Md. Muinuddin Khan was also a short-term consultant to the World Bank and also as short-term Study Chief of the Planning Commission Govt. of Bangladesh..
  • He has successfully discharged responsibilities as Dean, Pro VC and Vice Chancellor of private universities. He was also founding Vice Chancellor of ASA University. Over the last 55 years of teaching experience of university level. Prof M.M Khan has imparted his knowledge and wisdom in various governmental organizations and professional institutions.
