Tauhidul Islam is
currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Social Science at BGMEA
University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT), Bangladesh.Tauhidul Islam
successfully completed his BSS and MSS in Sociology from the University of
Chittagong in 2019 and 2020, respectively, graduating as the topper in 2021 and
2022.
His research
interests lie at the intersection of several key areas, including the
experiences of Rohingya refugees and migrant populations, the social and
cultural dynamics of migration, and the impact of globalization on social
change. Additionally, He tries to explore how social, cultural, and
technological factors influence the fashion industry and the broader garment
sector, with a particular focus on their psychological and societal
implications.
With a keen interest in the intersection of sociology and the dynamic fields of fashion and technology, he is dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of social structures and cultural dynamics within the context of the garment and fashion industries. Tauhidul’s academic work aims to bridge the gap between social science theory and practical applications, preparing students to critically analyze the complex social issues shaping the global fashion sector. H
e has authored a thesis paper and holds several research certificates, having contributed as a research assistant and volunteer. Additionally, he is a co-author of a published book.
Teaching/Research Specialization
Tauhidul Islam has
accumulated over four and a half years of experience in teaching, research
assistance, and volunteer work. Throughout this time, he has contributed
significantly to academic and community initiatives, engaging in a range of
activities that include delivering lectures, assisting in research projects,
and volunteering for various educational and social causes. His diverse
experience has allowed him to develop a well-rounded skill set, combining
academic knowledge with practical, hands-on contributions to both his field and
the community.
