Sharmin Sultana is a Lecturer in
the Department of Apparel Merchandising and Management (AMM) at BGMEA
University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT).
Her academic and
professional interests lie in the areas of textile and apparel manufacturing,
sustainable textiles, textile waste management, functional textiles, textile
finishing, circular economy, and the application of emerging technologies in
the textile and apparel industry.
As an educator, she is committed to
creating an engaging and industry-oriented learning environment that connects
theoretical knowledge with practical applications. She takes particular
interest in developing students' analytical, research, and problem-solving
skills and encouraging them to explore contemporary challenges and
technological developments within the textile and apparel industry.
At BUFT, she is actively involved in
teaching, academic activities, student development, research, and departmental
initiatives. She aspires to contribute to the advancement of textile and
apparel education and research while supporting the development of skilled,
innovative, and responsible professionals for the global fashion and textile industry.
