About

Ms. Siddika Haque is currently working as HEAD and Assistant Professor in Department of Knitwear Engineering under  the Faculty of Textile Engineering at BUFT. She has been working as a Full-time faculty since 2016. Her academic background is MSc in Textile Engineering (Wet Process), BUFT and BSc in specialized major on Knitwear Manufacturing and Technology, BIFT. She achieved excellent grades throughout her academic journey and planning to commence PhD shortly. During her academic career she attended and received training from many international research based program and trainings. She has received certification based on the training of “Corporate Social Responsibility” (under NICHE Project) from Nyenrode Business University, Netherlands, June 2017. She has also participated in “Higher Education Network for Sustainable Textiles ”HEST Project) under DAAD, Received Training and Certification as Researcher on sustainable textiles, Technical University of Chemnitz, May-June 2018. Later on, she was awarded certification on “Responsible Business Development” (Faculty Training on Capacity Building and Curriculum Development under Step Up+ Project) from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Sociability, BUFT & DM&T, September 2018. Additionally, she has worked on IQAC for her department and at earlier she received certification on Quality Assurance in Higher Education & Curriculum Design, IQAC-BUFT, January 2019. At present, she is also associated with accreditation committee for her department. Furthermore, Ms. Haque has her scholarly work done on research areas such as fiber, polymer, materials, composites and sustainability. She has publications on high impact factored peer reviewed journals such as Journal of Natural Fibers, ACS OMEGA, Gels, Cleaner Waste Systems, Textile & Leather Review and many more. Her research aims at the sustainability aspect and green concepts.
