 Sanjib Barua completed his MFA (Master of Fine Arts) from University of Chittagong. He has completed his BFA in Fine Arts from Govt. Art College Chittagong, presently Institute Fine Arts, University of Chittagong. 

 Sanjib Barua joined the BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) in 2014. He got a fellowship from United State Department in 2010 (USA): Promoting Tolerance through Arts” in Washington D.C. He has three Solo Art Exhibitions held in prominent Art Gallery: 1st Solo Exhibition at Alliance Françoise Chittagong, 2007, 2nd Solo Exhibition at Standard Chartered Bank, Gulshan Branch, Dhaka, 2008 and 3rd Solo Exhibition at Dhaka Art Center, Dhanmondi, Dhaka, 2012. He has participated in many Group Art Exhibitions both home and abroad. He has participated in many workshops: He has completed a program on Evaluators’ Training on Quality Assurance in Higher Education, 2014; conducted by Senior Expert Service, Germany and Educational Quality Assurance Foundation, Bangladesh, The Journey of Four Masterpieces, organized by Alliance Française, Chittagong and Dhaka, 2005 .He conducted Workshop on Fashion Illustration at Port City International University, Chittagong. He was awarded the Grand Prize in Berger Young Painters Art Competition, 2006. He was also awarded the best Prize in Annual Art Exhibition held in Chittagong Government Art College, 2000 and Grand Prize in the Art Competition held on the occasion of Buddhist Youth Leadership Seminar - 4, Bangladesh, 2004.
