About

Rozina Aktar is a Textile engineer by profession & currently working in a reputed university i.e. BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT). She has more than 11 years teaching experience with three different organization. She has accomplished her MBA in Apparel Merchandising degree from BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) and she is also enrolled in M. Sc. in Textile Engineering (Apparel) degree from Bangladesh University of Textile (BUTEX). She has completed her B.Sc. in Textile Engineering degree from Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Gazipur, Bangladesh. She is passionate, self-steamed and able to work hard with any knowledge sharing environment. She is organized, dedicated and enthusiastic to explore new ideas with students.

Rozina Aktar was advisor of BUFT merchandising club. Currently she is also playing as a role of program coordinator of department of AMM along with teaching.

Rozina Aktar had participated two successful training session on Resource Efficient Management of Chemicals [REMC] that was organized by HEST (GIZ), BUFT & AUFT. She also worked as facilitator on "Basic Training on Resource Efficient Management of Chemicals [REMC] for Industrial mid-level management in Bangladesh and final year student of BUFT.  

Teaching/Research Specialization

Rozina Aktar has almost Eleven (11) years of experience in the field of industry, teaching and research. She is specialized in the area of Apparel Engineering. She has a great passion to do something benevolent for textile sector & also has a concern about the negative impact of textile industry to the environment. Beyond teaching, her research interests include-natural dyes, sustainable & eco-friendly product development, natural fibers, recycled materials, material science etc.
