About
Dr. Reaz Elias is a dedicated educator and researcher specializing in Industrial and Production Engineering, Operations Research, and Data Science. He completed his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) in Toronto, Canada, and holds a Master of Engineering in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Bangkok, Thailand.
With over 14 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Elias focuses on bridging the gap between theoretical mathematical models and practical, real-world applications. His diverse background includes 3.5 years of industry experience working as a Data Scientist for a startup company in Toronto, as well as lecturing and teaching at TMU.
To date, he has published 6 international peer-reviewed journal articles - 5 of which are in top-tier Q1 journals -including Energy Economics, the European Journal of Operational Research, the Journal of Cleaner Production, Computers & Industrial Engineering, and The Engineering Economist. His work is dedicated to fostering an engaging learning environment while driving impactful research that solves complex industrial problems.
