About

I joined BUFT as a Professor of Industrial Engineering in January 2023. In February 2023, I was appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Fashion Studies (FFS) at BUFT. Prior to BUFT, I held various academic leadership roles at Sonargaon University, where I served as a Professor, Dean, and Director of IQAC from June 2019 to January 2023. Earlier in my career, I contributed significantly to the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Mirpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh, where I spent over 13 years. During my tenure at MIST, I served as an Assistant Professor for six years and five months, followed by roles as Associate Professor for two years, and ultimately as Professor for three years and six months. I was promoted to the position of Professor on December 7, 2015. Before MIST, I began my academic journey as an Assistant Professor at Primeasia University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, where I taught for six months.

I born in Jashore, one of Bangladesh's oldest districts, on May 10, 1975. I achieved exceptional academic results in both my secondary and higher secondary education in 1990 and 1992, respectively. Following this, I earned my BSc in Mechanical Engineering degree from BUET, ranking 16th out of 120 graduates in 1999. Before pursuing higher education in Australia, I gained practical experience as a Sales and Commissioning Engineer at BTCL for one year. In 2001, I enrolled in a PhD program at Swinburne University, Hawthorn, Australia, completing my PhD in December 2005.

Throughout my career, I have authored over 40 articles published in national and international journals and conference proceedings. My expertise spans Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Fluid Dynamics, Machine Design, and CAD modeling, contributing to my success as an academic and researcher. Despite opportunities abroad, I chose to return to Bangladesh to dedicate myself to advancing research and knowledge sharing in my homeland.
