About

Dr. Nazia Muhsin graduated from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, in 2018 with a Ph.D. in Bioresource Engineering. She also earned her Master’s degree in Bioresource Engineering from the same institution. During her Master’s and Doctoral studies, Dr. Nazia was awarded the prestigious Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship.

Dr. Nazia served as a Teaching Assistant to her supervisor, where she contributed to undergraduate coursework and supported project proposal and budget preparation for notable research initiatives. These included the Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS), Toyota Foundation projects, and The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) joint research endeavors.

Before pursuing higher education, Dr. Nazia completed her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the Military University of Science and Technology in 2007, where she was recognized on the MIST Dean’s List for outstanding academic performance. She then gained five years of industry experience with a multinational company, advancing from Junior Production Engineer to Team Leader in Technical & Quality roles. Her responsibilities included managing Quality Management Systems (QMS), Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S), and ensuring social compliance within the factories.

Dr. Nazia’s diverse background combines rigorous academic training with substantial industry experience, equipping her with a unique perspective on both theoretical and practical aspects of engineering.
