About
Nishat Rabea is a Lecturer at the Department of Textile Engineering & Management (TEM), BUFT.
Prior to joining BUFT Nishat Rabea has completed her B.Sc. in Textile Engineering (Apparel
Engineering) degree from Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) in 2019. At present, she is
working for M.Sc. in Textile Engineering (Apparel Engineering) at Bangladesh University of Textiles
(BUTEX).
Teaching/Research Specialization
She has been an active member of the department in conducting various courses (Textile
Studies and Textile Management) of undergraduate program and departmental tasks since her joining at
BUFT in 2022. She is a member of the Academic committee and Curriculum committee of the Dept. of
TEM. She has also worked as a member of Examination Committees (ECs) of the Dept. of TEM.
Currently she is acting as the member of the OBE committee of TEM. Her primary research interests
include Textile finishing,Textile wastage recycling,Sustainable product development, Garments washing
and Fiber reinforced composites.
