About
Nafis Abir is
currently working as a lecturer of Textile Engineering at BGMEA University of
Fashion & Technology. He started his teaching career in 2014 at the dept.
of Textile Engineering, Port City International University.
He has
obtained B.Sc. in Textile Technology from Ahsanullah University of Science
& Technology and M.Sc. in Textile Engineering from Bangladesh University of
Textiles.

Nafis
Abir’s main research interest is based on yarn manufacturing and fibre
reinforced composite materials. As the part of his Master’s thesis, he has done
his research on versatile use of jute fibre reinforced composite.
He has led different
research works on various fields of Textile Engineering at BUFT and has also
been supervising thesis works of final year students. Results of his research
works at BUFT (in collaboration with BUFT students and faculty members) have
been published in different journals in home and abroad.
