About

Md Moniruzzaman currently holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Fashion Design & Technology department at BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT). Prior to joining BUFT, Mr. Monir worked successfully as a Garment Technologist at Elite Garments Ltd. He also has one-year of job experience in the field of Fashion design department at I’D fashion International, Wuhan, China. Mr. Monir earned a bachelor’s degree from BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) bearing a good result and completed his post-graduation (M. Sc. In Fashion Designing & Engineering) from Wuhan Textile University (WTU) Wuhan, Hubei, China.  

Within his 06 years of teaching experience at BUFT, he served as course coordinator of the undergraduate & postgraduate curriculum committees and was a member of the outcome-based education syllabus committee for both programs. Apart from teaching, he has published some scholarly works in peer-reviewed international journals. Mr. Monir also presented his research at a good number of national and international conferences.

 

Mr. Moniruzzaman was the advisor of “Buying project-2” (A collaborative project between BUFT & Saxion University, Nethalends). He is also the chief Advisor of the BUFT Career Development Club since its inception. He has completed several training & workshop locally & internationally. Mr. Monir is the Asst. coordinator of BUFT-EPB project (a project of PGD program). He is also an associate member of BUFT central MoU committee (International workshop, seminar, training organizing committee)  

 

Mr. Moniruzzaman has gained knowledge about CLO 3D software applications on garment fit and development. His major research area is in the field of Garments Patterns, Sustainable Fashion, Fundamental of Fashion Design & Culture influence in Fashion Design. Mr. Monir is also the Honorary Peer Reviewer of the Journal of Textile Engineering & Fashion Technology, eISSN: 2574-8114. He is also a trainer of RMG professionals.
