Ms. Moni Jafar Pingki currently holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Fashion Design department at BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT).

Ms. Moni Jafar Pingki completed her M.Sc. in Fashion Design from BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT). She has completed her B.Sc. in Fashion Design & Technology from BGMEA Institute of Fashion & Technology (BIFT) and she also completed one semester in Fashion Design from NIFT, Delhi, India by getting a scholarship from her University.

Before joining BUFT, Ms. Pingki has two years of industrial experience as a designer and product developer.

Within her 08 years of teaching experience at BUFT, she did various trainings on Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) organized by Nyenrode Business Universiteit, Breukelen, the Netherlands. Along with that, she has active participation as an advisor on International collaborative projects named ‘Buying 2’ with Saxion University of Applied Science, Netherlands. She has more certified training on CAD (Lectra Modaris V8R1 and Diamino V6R2) by aamra Resources limited, Colour Management of Textiles by SDC. She has also participated in scores of national and international seminars and workshops on Advocacy and Policy Influencing, Quality Assurance in Higher Education & Curriculum Design, Research and Development, and many more. Ms. Pingki has gained knowledge about CLO 3D software applications on garment fit and development. Her major research area is in the field of Garments Patterns, Sustainable Fashion, fundamentals of Fashion Design & product development.

Ms. Moni Jafar Pingki has almost ten years of experience in the field of industry, teaching, and research. She has a great interest in research in the field of Sustainability in fashion and product development.
