About
Md. Ariful Ferdous is a faculty member at the Department of Industrial Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering Studies (FES) of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT). He graduated in Industrial & Production Engineering from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Bangladesh, Previously, he worked as a Lecturer (IPE) in the department of Engineering under the same faculty at BUFT from 2017 to 2019. He is a member of the Curriculum Development Committee for the Inclusion of 4IR-related topics to a different program in BUFT. Mr. Arif started his career as a Production Engineer in DIRD Felt Limited (a concern of DIRD GROUP), which is renowned as the largest UV Stabilized Non-Woven Geotextile manufacturer in Bangladesh. He is a researcher in the field of Industrial Software Development in statistical Quality control, Data science, operations research, etc. His research interest includes Product Diversity in Non-woven Technology in the Textile & Apparel Sectors in Bangladesh, stochastic programming with uncertainty, and Machine Learning. Currently, Mr. Arif is currently working on several projects to design a closed-loop supply chain network considering stochastic programming under certainty.
