Konok Chandro Roy
Lecturer, BUFT
About
Konok Chandro Roy is a Lecturer in Physics in
the Department of Science at the BGMEA University of Fashion and
Technology (BUFT), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He earned both his Bachelor of
Science (B.Sc.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) degrees in Physics
from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh.
Mr. Roy’s academic and research pursuits are centered on Materials
Science, Solid-State Physics, and Computational Materials
Simulation based on Density Functional Theory (DFT).
Mr. Roy has extensive experimental expertise in Solid-State
Reaction, Sol–Gel, and Spray Pyrolysis techniques, as well as
characterization using DTA, TGA, XRD, UV, and IR
Spectroscopy. He is proficient in thin-film fabrication, furnace
operation, and electronic circuit design, complemented by strong computational
skills in CASTEP, and data analysis using OriginPro, SigmaPlot,
and FullProf for Rietveld Refinement.
He has actively participated in national and
international conferences, including the International Conference on
Physics (2024) and the National Conference on Physics (2025)
organized by the Bangladesh Physical Society, presenting research on
lithium zinc stannate and kesterite-based materials.
A dedicated educator and researcher, Mr. Roy aims to advance
the understanding of functional and energy materials through the integration of
experimental and computational approaches, contributing to sustainable
technological development and innovation.
