About
Habiba Akter is a highly accomplished
professional in the field of textile engineering with a strong passion for
sustainable apparel manufacturing. She completed both her MSc and BSc in
Textile Engineering from Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology,
Gazipur (DUET). During her time at university, she was recognized for her
outstanding performance, receiving two Dean’s Awards and ranking First Class
Second in the Textile Engineering Department, alongside First Position in
Apparel Manufacturing Engineering. Her academic and professional journey has
led her to BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT), where she began
her teaching career in October 2024. As a lecturer, she is committed to
imparting her knowledge and expertise in apparel manufacturing engineering,
textile processes, and sustainability to the next generation of textile
engineers.t
