About
Faisal Ahmed is a dedicated academic and
researcher currently serving as an assistant professor in the Department of
Textile Engineering at BGMEA University of
Fashion & Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has been contributing to
teaching and research from January 2019 to August 2023 and resumed his
position again in September 2025. He delivers both theory and laboratory
courses under the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework and supervises
undergraduate thesis and project work. Before that, he worked as an
executive in knit dyeing production at Dird Knit Composite Ltd. from 01 December 2016 to
31 December 2018.
Faisal completed his M.Sc. in Materials Engineering,
specializing in Polymer Engineering, at the University
of Miskolc, Hungary, where he was awarded the Gold Medal for academic
excellence under the prestigious Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship.
He obtained his B.Sc. in Textile Engineering (Wet Processing)
from the University of Chittagong,
securing the first position in his department.
Teaching/Research Specialization
His specialization & research interests include natural
fiber and biopolymer-based composites, nanocomposites, advanced composite
techniques (3D printing and electrospinning), and sustainable dye extraction
and application.
