Professor Dr. Engr. Mohammed Rubaiyat Chowdhury is a distinguished academic and textile engineer with expertise in textile engineering and technological fields. Mohammed Rubaiyat Chowdhury serving as the Dean of Faculty of Apparel Studies (FAS) of BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology. He has served as the Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences in Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT). He was the member of the BUBT disciplinary committee .
He has almost 24 years of teaching experience and over 04 years of industrial experience. He has worked in reputed textile mills as textile engineer and merchandiser in Bangladesh like Padma Textile Mills Ltd.Beximco Group of Industries.

iii) To update the yarn quality by linking up with R&D and QA department.
2. Worked as a Merchandiser in The Chittagong Fashion Group, Cantonment, Dhaka from 2000 to 2001and 2001 to 2004 as part time Merchandiser.
Responsibilities:
i) Prepare costing of different items (Men’s and Ladies Dress Shirts) for the buyers.
ii) Follow up the entire order up to in time shipment
iii) Procuring fabric and accessories.
iv) Used to visit the fabric mills to inspect the fabric quality
