About

Mohammod Aminuzzaman, PhD, MRSC, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sciences at BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT). He holds a PhD in Materials Chemistry from Tohoku University, Japan (2004), an MSc in Organic Chemistry (1994), and a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry (1993) from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, both earned with first-class distinctions. With over two decades of academic and research expertise, he has held positions as Assistant Professor at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR),Malaysia (2009 to 2024), Postdoctoral Researcher, and Assistant Professor at Tohoku University, Japan (2004 to 2009), and Scientific Officer at BCSIR Laboratories, Bangladesh (1998 to 2001). His research focuses on green synthesis of nanomaterials, thin films, and hybrid polymers for applications in electronics, energy, healthcare, and environmental remediation. He has secured 14 research grants (totaling ~MYR 400,000) and authored 50+ peer-reviewed publications (cumulative IF: 156+), including articles in Nanotechnol. Rev., Catalysts, and Materials. Dr. Aminuzzaman has supervised 15 postgraduate and 60+ undergraduate students, emphasizing sustainable nanotechnology and waste valorization. Recognized for excellence, he received the MEXT Scholarship (Japan, 2001), UTAR Long Service Award (2021), and serves as a reviewer for high-impact journals like ACS Omega and RSC Advances. A member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK) and Bangladesh Nano Society, he also contributes to academic training, workshops, and industry consultancies in nanomaterials and green chemistry. His interdisciplinary work bridges academia and industrial innovation, advancing eco-friendly solutions for global challenges.
