About

Champa Saha is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Apparel Manufacturing & Technology at BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT). With a decade of experience in academia, she holds a M.Sc. in Textile Engineering from Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET) with a CGPA of 3.75/4.00, securing the second position in her program, and a B.Sc. in Textile Engineering from Bangabandhu Textile Engineering College (BTEC), where she graduated with a CGPA of 3.67/4.00 and achieved third position. She has demonstrated a strong commitment to teaching and research in the field of textile and apparel technology. In her academic role, teaching and instructing theory and lab courses to the undergraduate textile engineering students regarding the textile engineering subject which are necessary for the curriculum and supervising student’s undergrad thesis work. Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in organizing and participating in various seminars, workshops, and training programs related to Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and research. Her contributions to these academic initiatives reflect her dedication to advancing the knowledge and skills of both students and fellow educators in the field of textile engineering.

Teaching/Research Specialization

Her research interest’s focus on several key areas within the textile and apparel sector, including phase change materials, clothing comfort, smart textiles, protective clothing, technical and medical textiles and high-performance textiles. Her work aims to contribute to the development of innovative solutions that enhance the functionality, comfort, and performance of textile products.
