BUFT, Sri Lankan Brandix Corporate Campus Explore Joint Research Collaboration
BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) held a meeting with a delegation from Sri Lanka’s Brandix Corporate Campus on 8 October 2026 at BUFT to explore academic–industry collaboration, particularly in joint research initiatives. Led by Mr. Priyanga Dassanayake, CEO of Brandix Corporate Campus, the delegation expressed interest in research collaboration, knowledge exchange and developing industry-oriented solutions for the textile and apparel sector.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Vice Chancellor (Designate); Prof. Dr. Md. Alamgir Hossain, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Acting) & Treasurer; Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Jalil, Dean, Faculty of Sciences; Prof. Dr. Md. Rubaiyat Chowdhury, Dean, Faculty of Apparel Studies; Ms. Farhana Jannat, Assistant Professor, AMM; and Mr. Malick Shamim Akhtar, Senior Coordinator, CDC.
The delegation later met with Mr. Mesbha Uddin Ali, Chairman of the BUFT Board of Trustees, who welcomed the initiative and supported the commencement of joint activities.
