About
Md. Abdullah-Al-Fahim is a Lecturer in Statistics under the Department of Sciences at Bangladesh University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT). He completed his Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics and Master of Science in Applied Statistics and Data Science from the University of Dhaka, achieving outstanding academic results, including First Merit Position, the ISRT Golden Jubilee Award, Dean's Honor Award, and the National Science and Technology Fellowship (2024).
Before joining BUFT, he worked as a Student Tutor at ISRT, University of Dhaka and as a Teaching Fellow at the BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University where he taught statistics, biostatistics, statistical programming, and quantitative methods. He also gained professional experience in public health and actuarial analytics through roles at Dhaka Ahsania Mission and MetLife Bangladesh.
His research interests include causal inference, measurement error modeling, machine learning, theoretical statistics, public health and applied data science.

- Worked on insurance product design and actuarial price modeling.

Accepted to deliver a Contributory Talk at the International Conference on Applied Statistics and Data Science (ICASDS) 2025. The presentation was based on the research paper "Measurement Error in Causal Mediation Analysis for an Ordinal Response with Multiple Mediators", highlighting methodological advancements in causal inference with ordinal response, multiple mediators, and measurement error.
