BUFT Observes July Mass Uprising Day 2026
BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) observed July Mass Uprising Day 2026 through a discussion meeting and Doa Mahfil held on 19 August 2026 at the university’s Multipurpose Hall. The program was organized in accordance with government directives and brought together the university’s academic and administrative community to commemorate the significance of the July Mass Uprising and reflect on its historical importance.
Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, BUFT, attended the program as the Chief Guest, while Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Vice Chancellor (Designate), BUFT, chaired the event. The program was attended by Deans, Heads of Departments and Offices, faculty members, officers, students and staff of the university.
In his remarks, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices and aspirations associated with the July Mass Uprising and highlighted the responsibility of the younger generation to uphold the values of justice, dignity, unity and social responsibility. The discussion also focused on the historical significance of the movement and the importance of building a peaceful, inclusive and progressive Bangladesh through education, ethical leadership and active citizenship.
The program concluded with a Doa Mahfil, seeking divine blessings for the country’s peace, prosperity and continued development, as well as for those who lost their lives and suffered during the movement.
